CCR is hosting a Self-Regulation and Resilience training. Self-Regulation is central to successful health, education and social outcomes, and to building resilience. To understand more about Self-Regulation, in this training we will review the ACEs Study and the NEAR sciences to provide a biological context for the importance of self-regulation, provide an overview of data about the scope of the problem in self-regulation we’re facing in our society, and offer some simple tips about how to foster self-regulation in yourself and others.
Resilience is the Science of Why? Why does one person experience tremendous adversity, significant amounts of toxic stress, yet end up having a fantastic life, while another person who perhaps experienced less adversity, ends up struggling? Resilience is the wild card. To learn more about why resilience is the wild card come learn with us and gain a better understanding of the role of Self-Regulation and Resilience in regard to ACEs and Trauma.
This event is for USA residents only with a focus on Douglas County, OR residents.
