PERINATAL TASK FORCE (PNTF): The Perinatal Period is the timeframe before, during, and after pregnancy. The PNTF brings people together to learn, plan, and facilitate projects to improve health outcomes for women, infants, and families in Josephine County. The Perinatal Task Force is a collective impact group focused on improving health outcomes for our communities by centering on the perinatal period — before, during, and after pregnancy.
Our goals are set collaboratively, and are guided by Perinatal Task Force members, community partners, and Healthy Start staff. They include:
CURRENT PROJECT: Currently, the PNTF is working on a project to improve access to fact-based, comprehensive, culturally responsive resources on reproductive health & family planning for teens and women in Josephine County. The project involves mining resources that are both accurate and relevant to each target population. Then distributing small wallet-sized cards with a QR code that goes directly to a resource hub curated specifically for teens or women. For more information on this project, please check out this project overview. We plan on doing some outreach events to get out into the community and welcome anyone interested in partnering with us on this project.
