As we move through the challenges and uncertainties brought to our region by COVID-19, Health Care Coalition of Southern Oregon continues to strive towards our mission of improving health equity for all.
Healthy Start services are available at our partner sites: Josephine County Public Health, Siskiyou Community Health Center, Aviva Health, and UCAN (in Douglas County). For updated information about how to access services, please connect with these sites directly.
Perinatal Task Force work in both counties are being held virtually, via Zoom. The next meetings are:
May 19: Josephine County Perinatal Taskforce
June 1: Douglas County Perinatal Taskforce
In the meantime, we are working with our partners to address a critical need for diapering supplies and thermometers for families with infants and children. We have launched a program called: Southern Oregon Baby Aid. In Josephine County, this program involves working with the emergency food system to move supplies to families in need. In Douglas County, we have created a stock pile of diapers, wipes, and other supplies and have been giving them out at no cost. See the link below for how to take advantage of this opportunity.
