The Perinatal Task Force’s biggest community engagement event is the Welcome Baby Community Baby Shower and Resource Fair. Due to public health restrictions, we have the opportunity to reach people in new and innovative ways to increase access to the resources that this event offers!

Virtual Welcome Baby!

This event is all about showcasing our community’s pregnancy and parenting resources, providing information and demonstrations, and celebrating families with games and giveaways.

For the 2020 Virtual Baby Shower, we introduced a new theme each month on our Healthy Start of Southern Oregon Facebook page. Visit our page to watch demonstrations, learn from community resources, and see tips and posts from these events.

We are thrilled to be working alongside University of Oregons Prevention Science Institute to pilot a new mobile version of the Family Check-Up (FCU) program! 

Well be helping rural Oregon families connect to the project and learn about health and parenting. The information gathered will be used to continue creating mobile resources that families can easily access anytime.

This program is already used by thousands of families across the country to help with family functioning and building healthy habits, and were excited to lend a voice to our Southern Oregon region!
